The child must be older than 5 and younger than 15 when the application is submitted. A parent or legal guardian must complete the application and approve participation.

Required application materials
Applications require a short video, written letter, sport or product preference, parent contact information, and acceptance of the terms, privacy policy, and release.
One box per kid
A selected child can receive one free hobby box opening from the project. Siblings may apply separately, but each applicant is reviewed independently.
Live participation required
Selected kids must be available for the live opening. A parent or legal guardian is welcome on camera and must be present or actively supervising.
Preference is not a guarantee
Families can request a sport or product type. We try to match preferences when inventory and donation timing allow.
No pay-to-play
Donations are encouraged, but donating never changes a child's chance of being selected and does not create any special access to the review process.

What we look for
- Authentic interest in collecting and the requested sport.
- A clear explanation of why the box would be meaningful.
- Parent or guardian support and ability to join the live opening.
- Application materials that appear original and truthful.
- Fit between the child's interest and available donated boxes.
What can disqualify an entry
- False information, duplicate identities, or manipulated application materials.
- Missing parent or legal guardian approval.
- Refusal to complete the verification call.
- Unsafe conduct, harassment, or attempts to pressure reviewers.
- Violation of the terms, privacy policy, release, or live-stream rules.
Verification
We verify finalists before final selection.
A parent-led video call helps confirm the applicant is real, the guardian approves, and the family understands the live opening. We do not ask kids to reveal private addresses or sensitive information on camera.
